This Policy outlines the type of information that the Site’s operator, the Alberta Medical Association and its directors, officers, employees and affiliates (collectively, “we” or “us”) gather about the user of this Site (“you” or “your”) while you are using this Site and how we use that information. Please read this Privacy Policy as, by using this Site, you agree that your use of this Site is governed by this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

We collect and store your name, postal code, e-mail address and phone numbers if you voluntarily supply this information to us when you subscribe to our email list. Your email address is stored at the email list server and can only be accessed by those who help manage those lists in order to deliver e-mails to those who signed-up to receive our material. This information is used to provide you with access to Site content, and to allow us to contact you with updates (if you have indicated you would like to receive them) and to let you know about campaigns we may be running. Your postal code allows us to match you to your local riding, so that we can facilitate your contact with your local MLA. As well, we collect and use data contained in log files which include: your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your Internet Service Provider (ISP), the browser you used, the time you visited this Site, and the pages you visited throughout this Site, such collection and use being a standard practice on almost every website. We use this information to better understand how visitors use the Site, and to improve the Site to better meet your needs. The amount of information that is sent by your web browser depends upon the browser and settings you use.
